Mixed bag of weather today but hey ho the coming week is looking really good.
Today my head is still all about the Birdfair, will be a couple of days before I have re-joined planet 479. I purchased a bee log, state of the art hedgehog feeder and a swift box at the Birdfair so today fixed up the said bee log and placed the feeder next to a hog box, the one under the silver birch tree. The swift box requires work on it before siting, like a camera and nest bowl. It was going cheap because of the important features being missing.
Cameras tonight are showing a hedgehog asleep in the house under the silver birch tree so very good news that.
Managed a photograph of a gatekeeper this morning and some stunning spiders after moving the oak barrel water feature. In the end placed barrel back in its original spot.
Big news of the weekend is the complete clearance of trees, shrubs etc boundering us but in next doors garden. Not impressed but fully understand nothing to do with me as not on our land. Will replace with shrubs at some point.
Looking forward now to our Yorkshire family visiting this coming week.
