Wednesday 5th March 2014

Two day running and no rain recorded. Hosepipe ban expected now? Plenty of sun with a slight chill. Temp' reached a high of 14c this afternoon.
Blackbird now nesting in the Bay Tree, lost count how many years they have nested here. Not sure how Red Kites mate only watched two this afternoon necking in flight. Crow was also in the mood for mating, the pair just drove me mad this afternoon with their calling.
Handykam are getting there with my outstanding order from December. Replacement Monitor power cable arrived yesterday. Replacement camera power cables arrived today. Just the monitor now. So frustrating.
How easy accidents can happen - a friend rang this morning asking if I could help with repairing an antique tea tray. His wife has a habit of leaving cooker rings on when not in use, yesterday did the same but left a wooden tray over the ring. Photograph shows how lucky they both were.
