Friday 30th May 2014

Another very warm day
After picking up Barbara we then drove to Drumnadrochit to pick up Kerry. After a welcome coffee and a look around the garden we set off for the drive to Kyle and the Eilean Donan Castle. The drive through this part of Scotland is the most stunning, loved it. Did stop for a light lunch at the one pub on this road to Kyle.
Unusual this Castle, reduced to rubble in the battles of the 17th Century it was another 200 years before it was decided to rebuild. Finished in 1932 means this Castle is not even 100 years old yet! Looks amazing, can see why it is the most photographed castle in Scotland.
Another great day out. Thanks Kerry for the suggestion.
Arrived back in Drumnadrochit at 7pm, a quick goodnight to Kerry and then the drive back to Culloden.
Time to say goodbye to Barbara for another year. Will not express my emotions on biog only to say it was good that we were all able to meet up again.
Lorna and I finished the day reflecting the holiday over an evening dinner at the Thyme.
Oh my word, is the holiday really over.
