Cool start with 18mm of rain recorded early this morning. Rest of the day turned out pretty warm.
Day spent planting up the remaining hanging baskets. All looking good now.
On watching the monitors this morning it was interesting to note movement in the Squirrel box. It soon became apparent that at least two Squirrels were in the box making movements similar to birds when creating ones nest sitting area. Interesting to watch and interesting days ahead. Have we another brood on our hands?
A beak also appeared in the entrance to the Swift box. I was not quick enough to study as was also watching the Squirrels.
After a few days of not seeing Swifts in the area it was amazing to see in excess of 16 flying about today. Sadly no interest in the nest box.
