Very warm day, ideal start to the holiday.
Taxi collected us at 8.30am for the reasonably short drive to Kings Cross. Nooooo, three hours later we arrived with only ten minutes to spare for the train connection. Phew.
After an enjoyable 8.5 hour trip particularly from Berwick on Tweed with weather conditions just right to enjoy the Scottish countryside.
Arrived in Inverness at 8.15pm, a five minute taxi ride to the Premier Inn housed in a disused distillery and we were ready for the first meal of the day!
Holiday about to start.......
