Sunday 8th June 2014

What a fabulous day. Very warm.
Enjoyed an early morning walk at Fobney. Good to be back on my local patch after the two weeks in Scotland.
Plenty to see this morning. Great Crested Grebe, Little Egret resting with a group of Canada Geese, Heron, Painted Lady Butterfly, Damsel Flies, Coots and Swifts. My kind of morning.
Rest of the day spent chilling. Took advantage of the sunny, warm weather to just sit, amble and reflect on what is going on in the garden. Young Squirrels playing on the lawn, Jay upset because I had not topped up the monkey nut feeder, Male Great Spotted feeding from the peanut feeder, a Rat jumping out of the bird food storage bin, baby Goldfinches being fed........all good stuff.
